Usage

Connect your device in normal mode via USB and ensure it is connected to Wi‑Fi. Download and launch the PC client, and once your device is detected, press Activate Device. Do not disconnect the device until activation is complete.

How do I hactivate a downgraded device?

For devices running iOS 5-6, use lockdownd hactivation. The device must be jailbroken. You can enable the Jailbreak option during the downgrade process in Legacy iOS Kit.

Keep the iproxy window running throughout the entire process.

  1. iproxy 2222 44
  2. ssh root@localhost -p 2222
    password: alpine
  3. rm /usr/libexec/lockdownd
  4. On the host machine (not inside SSH):
    scp -P 2222 lockdownd root@localhost:/usr/libexec/lockdownd
  5. Back in the SSH window:
    chmod 0755 /usr/libexec/lockdownd
  6. reboot

Done! Your device should be hactivated now.

My device is not recognised

Ensure drivers are installed and the device is detected by other tools such as iTunes or Finder.

How do I downgrade my device?

Use carbon.sep.lol combined with kDFU to downgrade using Legacy iOS Kit.

How do I jailbreak my device?

Use carbon.sep.lol to jailbreak your device. Note that the exploit may be unstable and take several attempts to work properly. In case it fails, keep trying, rebooting device and reopening Safari.
